Apart from the obvious Wimbledon one, the goals against Man U (2001 cup) and Chelsea (2003) were unbelievable to witness.

great stuff hard to pick a fav - maybe the Chelsea one and his second in same game he made a hard finish look easy
funny how many times he has to rush to retrieve the ball cos we're losing :)

Only 2 headers? Wouldn't have got a look in under our last few managers...

I absolutely fucking love the bloke.
Yet, there are a very odd bunch of DRUIDIC folk and GOGGLEBOXERS who seemingly hated him.
Very weird, if you ask me.

Makes me laugh when bods on here say Payet was better!!
Watch those goals (not forgetting the numerous assists that won't be on YouTube) & then come back & say Payet was better.. Not a chance.

I was biting into a molten hot meat pie as Di canio scored THAT volley (Sunday afternoon IIRC?) ... the next few moments were a mixture of agony and ecstacy ... think it was Freddie K's first game for us as well??

Payet is Payet, Di Canio is Di Canio, both were brilliant in their own right

Both brilliant.
Paolo did it for longer, so higher in my estimation. Still neither were as good as Sir Trev.
and don't forget Iain Dowie swt

I actually saw Dowie score 2 (TWO) goals for us in a single match. I felt blessed.to see such wonders.

What a game that was.... Goons were almost unbeatable that time... PDC was on another planet that day... one of the great UP atmospheres

Is he overlooked as a premier league great because:
A) He's a mad racist?
B) He never played for one of the red teams?
......cos there aren't many players I remember with a higher quality selection of 102 league goals.

Sir Trevor Brooking was neither a mad racist, nor did he play in the Premier League, he did score 102 goals for us though.
Paolo Di Canio was, and did, but scored only half the goals for West Ham that Sir Trev did.
I think you are getting a little muddled here my friend!

Incredible player, love the bloke.
Kiwi girl I took from work still mentions the Bradford game all the way from Wellington, as I took her and to it and to this day it's still the only live game she has ever been to (how's your luck?).
She was actually crying at the emotion of the rollercoaster at the end of the game the silly cow.
